  11. Austin, Texas -- June 14, 1991 -- SunShine announces the release of Visual
  12. Delights, a CD-ROM containing over 5800 black and white, 300-dot-per-inch TIFF
  13. graphics. Hundreds of topics are covered, including people, realistic and
  14. stylized animals, designs, humor, holidays, religion, and borders, plus
  15. subjects hard to find elsewhere such as ancient civilizations, ethnic groups
  16. and cultures, life and death, art objects, and panoramic landscapes. Most
  17. images are line art, but there are over 1000 halftones as well.

  19. Included on the CD are desk accessory and application versions of Zedcor’s
  20. DeskPaint™, which can be used to browse folders of images as if in a slide
  21. show. DeskPaint™ can alter, flip, crop, rotate, print, and change the
  22. resolution of all the pictures. It can edit scanned images and convert to and
  23. from TIFF, compressed TIFF, and PICT formats.

  25. Also included on the CD are the user version of Multi-Ad Search™ and a
  26. 10-megabyte Search™ catalog containing thumbnail views, keywords and other
  27. information about all the images. Pictures can be searched for by keywords
  28. and/or words in titles. Each search may involve up to five criteria at a time,
  29. connected by “and” and “or.” Actual images can be opened, viewed in various
  30. sizes, printed, or exported to other programs.

  32. Rights to use the images are granted for most purposes. Visual Delights
  33. occupies 557 megabytes and comes with on-line help files and a printed manual.
  34. It sells for $333 and is available now.

  36. For people without a CD-ROM player, SunShine has released many of the images in
  37. floppy-disk sets, with each set covering one topic. On average a set includes
  38. 68 pictures and occupies 11 megabytes. Sixty floppy-disk sets are available at
  39. a cost of $39 each.
